Job Description

Sampoerna Academy Finance Manager is responsible for the financial health of the schools. S/he is responsible for producing financial reports and developing strategies based on financial research; supports the executive management team by offering insights and financial advice that will allow them to make the sound business decisions for the company in the long and short term. The Finance Manager leads all day-to-day accounting operations, with functional responsibility for finance and accounting, tax and budget control. Responsibilities also include production of financial reports; proper maintenance of accounting records; accurate processing of financial transactions; and administration of a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the organization’s reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with Government regulations that results in flawless audits.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As a crucial member of the finance team, Finance Manager’s duties and responsibilities include, but not be limited to:

• Managing finance , accounting and tax day today function
• Implement and improve the accounting system, procedures and control and ensure that all financial transactions, system and procedures comply with company regulations and accounting principles.
• Prepare on time monthly Financial Reports (GL, Income Statement, balance sheet and cash flow), analysis and recommendation completely and accurately
• Prepare on time Monthly Management Reports, Budget Outlooks, Cash flow forecasts for Schools management and Group BOD.
• Track the schools’ financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement monitor and manage budgets within the prescribed targets
• Provide insightful information and expectations to senior executives to aid in long-term and short-term decision making and developing long-term business plans based on these reports including but not limited to identifying opportunities for cost reduction; additional revenue, or profit increase.
• Develop strategies that work to minimize financial risk
• Stay up to date with technological advances to be used for financial purposes, minimalizing manual transactions.
• Ensure that the financial and accounting activities are conducted with high integrity , accuracy, and in accordance with Company and legal requirements.

Qualifications

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or Finance or related discipline is required. Post graduate degree is preferred.

EXPERIENCE

Minimum 8 years of working experience required, preferably in Education/schools or service business environments with branches

COMPETENCIES

Finance Manager should exibit other core critical competensies. the following qualities are sample but not inclusive of all:

• Good command in English both spoken and written.
• Good managerial skills and strong leadership ability
• Superior mathematical and computer (i.e. Excel) skills
• Negotiation skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships
• Commercial and business awareness
• Strong communication, interpersonal, problem solving and analytical skills
• A keen eye for detail and desire to probe further into data but with a big picture in mind
• Ability to stick to time constraints
• Preferably familiar with Oracle and School systems
• Able to deal with the matrix system organization.
• Good understanding of Indonesian GAAP and Taxation.
• Integrity and honesty
