Job description: Background
Impact Credit Solutions (“ICS”) is a Singapore financial technology company that enables small business lending in Southeast Asia. We combine deep expertise in alternative lending with best-in-class technology solutions to bridge international capital markets with underserved communities in Southeast Asia. To ensure that our services create deep and strong impact in Indonesia, ICS has recently established an Indonesian entity that will house our credit-as-a-service (“CaaS”) technology as well as other Indonesian entities that will provide funding to support Indonesia’s healthcare system (collectively, the “Indonesian Entities”).

Role
To support our growth in Indonesia, we are seeking a candidate who has extensive knowledge of the local tax and accounting regulations to lead the finance function for our Indonesian Entities. This experienced professional will personally drive financial planning, budgeting and projections (for internal stakeholders and fundraising). The candidate will oversee the day-to-day financial operations including book-keeping, cash management and payroll/expenses that are executed by the finance team. The position will report functionally to the Chief Financial Officer and the Indonesia Country Head. Due to our nature as a start-up, he/she will also be required to do other things as may be required by the local entities from time to time.

Responsibilities

• Prepare month-end receivables and payables cycles

• Prepare and review accurate monthly and quarterly financial reporting of Indonesian entities and/or Group accounts

• Coordinate with external tax consultants to prepare and review accurate tax reporting to Indonesian tax authorities

• Assist external auditors in their statutory financial and compliance audits

• Coordinate with various departments to develop and monitor budgets across various functions and entities

• Support Human Resource function with month-end payroll

• Support Legal function with tax and financial compliance matters

• Assisting our Legal and Business Development functions in advising possible tax risks for transactions

• Coordinate the development of the annual operating, capital, and program budgets, and reporting against the same cash management, budgeting, financial planning and tax and financial reporting to relevant authorities, helping to drive country/group’s financial strategy and fundraising targets

• Support Co-Founders in fundraising for both debt and equity investments

• Other responsibilities as may be required from time to time

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in finance

• Holds CPA qualification, or equivalent

• Strong accounting foundation and knowledge, preferably with 4-5 years of working experience in accounts, external audit or finance role.

• Preferably experience working in a regulated financial service business

• Strong domain knowledge on credit, specifically small business lending is strongly preferred

• Demonstrated experience leading and building cohesive, high performing teams

• Strong analytical, interpersonal, communication and influencing skills

• Comfortable in a fluid environment, self-directed, flexible and creative

• Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia
