Job description: TITLE: Digital and Lead Fundraising Manager

LOCATION: Jakarta
TEAM/PROGRAMME: FUNDRAISING, MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS
CHILD SAFEGUARDING: Level 3 – the role holder will have contact with children and/or young people either frequently (e.g. once a week or more) or intensively (e.g. four days in one month or more or overnight) because they work in country programs; or are visiting country programs; or because they are responsible for implementing the police checking/vetting process staff.

ROLE PURPOSE:

This role is to maximize the potential of our lead generation and online fundraising activity as well as deliver, test and grow ‘mobile’ giving income and support our Humanitarian Fundraising Strategy. He/she will coordinate with other fundraising team and others unit to generate fundraising income through digital channel and telemarketing.

SCOPE OF ROLE:

Reports to: Senior Individual Fundraising Manager
Dimension: Works directly with the Fundraising Team, Program Unit, PDQ, Campaign and Advocacy, Finance and Awards.
Number of direct reports: Leads Conversion Senior Officer, Digital Marketing Officer and Webmaster Analyst staff.
Budget Responsibility: TBD

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

Digital and Leads Generation Manager contributes to:

  • Support the development of an organisational culture that reflects our dual mandate values, promotes accountability and high performance, encourages a team culture of learning, creativity and innovation, and frees up our people to deliver outstanding results for children and excellent customer service for our Members and donors.
  • Help establish, maintain, and improve active and regular working relationships with all key stakeholders including but not limited to: government authorities, individual and corporate donors, partner agencies including humanitarian and development donors, and local and international NGOs, media and other external relationship agencies.
  • Supports to ensure the organisation complies with all Save the Children Indonesia Management Operating Standards and Standard Operating Procedures.

Revenue Generation and growth Orientation

  • Work with the Senior Individual Fundraising Manager to drive the growth of Leads and Digital Fundraising in Indonesia in order to maximise net income.
  • Work with the Senior Individual Fundraising Manager to develop medium and long-term fundraising targets for digital, lead generation, telemarketing and other individual fundraising channels aligned to the overall strategic direction of the organisation.
  • Introduce best practice procedures and work flow in all areas of responsibility
  • In close cooperation with other unit in Save the Children Indonesia to ensure operation in Fundraising unit supported with the proper system and in line with Save the Children Indonesia policy and procedures.

Fundraising and Marketing Role

  • Design and implement a Digital Fundraising strategy and plan for recruiting new supporters across a range of digital channels, including search (organic and paid), paid social, YouTube, Display, Affiliate Marketing and email marketing. Manage relationships with external suppliers and media buying agencies.
  • Design, execution and overseeing of the digital fundraising emergency plan.
  • Design and implement other digital fundraising campaigns like crowdfunding / community fundraising, mobile apps, etc.
  • Working together with Webmaster and Analytic staff in leading the development of a new donation and lead generation platform, including the set-up of Google Analytics, E-Commerce module, GTM, FB pixels, etc.
  • Lead and support Lead Generation and Conversion staff in designing and implementing a lead generation and regular donor conversion program. This is also to ensure the editing and setting up email campaigns process is able to sharpen the strategy.
  • Collaborate with other Individual Giving team, Retention team, Marketing Communication team and Corporate Partnerships team to insure proper digital support and web content to maximize overall fundraising success.
  • Work closely with digital and social media communication unit that can feed into the broader social media strategy. Co-ordinate the implementation of fundraising’s use of social media, ensuring an integrated and consistent plan across teams.
  • Ensure all external agency in digital fundraising able to successfully achieve the agreed target.
  • Generate new digital activation / partnership income through building relation with external partner.
  • Perform other duties as directed by the line manager

Digital Fundraising Result Analysis

  • Provide regular analysis and reports against all digital marketing activity
  • Manage budgets and expenditure for all digital activity in line with broader organisational Fundraising budget.
  • Budget reporting and tracking carried out monthly
  • Deliver post campaign analysis on all digital fundraising campaigns including results, learnings and recommendations

As a member of the Extended Management Team (EMT), contribute to:

  • The development of an organizational culture that reflects our dual mandate (humanitarian and development) values; promotes accountability and high performance; encourages a team culture of learning, creativity and innovation; and enables our staff to deliver outstanding results for children.
  • Provide feedback on issues of cross-cutting importance to Save the Children in Indonesia including policies affecting program implementation and the overall CO strategy.
  • Help establish, maintain, and improve active and regular working relationships with Save the Children members, and local and international NGOs.
  • Work closely with Save the Children members to ensure that required support is provided promptly, at scale, at high-quality, and in line with rules and principles.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Essential

  • Bachelor Degree
  • A minimum experience of 3 years with Digital Marketing or Digital Fundraising in non-profit organisations or related business and development in the profit sector.
  • Demonstrable experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and/or display advertising campaigns strategy.
  • Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate.
  • Data oriented person
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage a complex and diverse workload and to work to tight deadline
  • Willingness and ability to dramatically change work practices and hours, and work with incoming surge teams, in the event of emergencies
  • Understanding of Save the Children vision and mission and a commitment to its objectives, values and essential standards
  • Written and verbal fluency in English and Indonesian
  • Ability to work independently without direct supervision
